The son of a much-loved mum killed in a collision in Smethwick<\/a> has paid tribute saying he has ‘lost my world.’<\/p>\n Pedestrian Baljit Kaur, 62, was struck by a car on Thimblemill Road, shortly before 9.30pm, on Thursday, August 28.<\/p>\n Despite the best efforts of paramedics, she died at the scene.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Woman dies in Smethwick crash as police make arrest<\/a><\/p>\n READ MORE: Police update after stabbing in Great Barr as victim fights for life<\/a><\/p>\n READ MORE: Rape investigation in Birmingham city centre as police make arrests<\/a><\/p>\n READ MORE: Killer driver dies as she serves biker death jail term<\/a><\/p>\n Baljit\u2019s family have today paid tribute to her, saying she worked as a carer, and always put others before herself.<\/p>\n Her son Daninder said: \u201cI\u2019ve lost my mom, I\u2019ve lost my world.\u201d<\/p>\n Baljit\u2019s family are being supported by specialist police officers.<\/p>\n The force said their thoughts remain with them at this incredibly difficult time.<\/p>\n
