Well, if what Wilder has just posted on social media is anything to go by, Wilder himself is still very much interested in taking a fight \u2013 a boxing match \u2013 with the MMA giant. Recently, Ngannou said that a battle between him and Wilder is \u201cbeing worked on\u201d and that it will happen soon. Now, Wilder has challenged Ngannou to \u201cstep in the ring.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cRespect, but I\u2019m ten toes down, no fear, no fold, no fake\u2026.Always ready, always solid. Step into the ring and you\u2019ll see what that means,\u201d Wilder posted on his Instagram account, with Ngannou attached.<\/p>\n
Wilder, one win removed from that awful run that saw him lose to Joe Parker and then to Zhilei Zhang, who stopped the former WBC heavyweight champ with apparent ease, has been busy in the gym. While Ngannou, we know, is always in shape. So, could this potentially explosive, you-know-you\u2019d-watch-it fight happen next year?<\/p>\n
Wilder has no next fight set, that we know of, anyway, while Ngannou could always take another big MMA fight next if he wanted to. But is it time to \u201cfinally settle the debate,\u201d as an Ngannou post read last week?<\/p>\n
Maybe to you there is no debate, but plenty of fight fans \u2013 of boxing and of MMA \u2013 remain curious to see which puncher would win: Wilder or Ngannou.<\/p>\n
