Bradford Bulls have released a statement from their ground safety officer following a \u2018small fire\u2019 at Odsal.<\/p>\n

The fire broke out in the Southbank Stand of the stadium just after the conclusion of Saturday\u2019s clash between the Bulls and Toulouse Olympique as fans filtered out of the ground.<\/p>\n

Bradford\u2019s staff acted quickly and were able to deal with the blaze before too much damage was done to the stand or anyone was hurt.<\/p>\n

However, following the incident, the club will be investigating how the fire broke out, with ground safety officer Mark Leadbeater releasing a statement.<\/p>\n

That statement, published on the Bulls\u2019 official channels<\/a>, read: \u201cUnfortunately, last night there was a small fire in the Southbank Stand. This occurred just after the event had finished, while spectators were leaving the stadium and staff were beginning to stand down.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to our safety protocols being put into action immediately, the situation was managed quickly and effectively. Damage appears to be very minimal, and the Southbank Stand was cleared without delay. All spectators and staff were able to leave safely.<\/p>\n

\u201cFurther investigations will be carried out, but I would like to personally thank all staff who acted so swiftly and professionally to ensure everyone\u2019s safety.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bradford Bulls beaten by Toulouse Olympique<\/p>\n

It was a frustrating night for Brian Noble\u2019s side, who lost 12-10 against title challengers Toulouse Olympique following a tense and gripping Championship<\/a> contest. The Bulls took an 8-2 lead into half-time following a try from Jayden Okunbor.<\/p>\n

But Olly Ashall-Bott pegged them back with an effort in the 49th minute before a 79th minute Jake Shorrocks penalty got the French side over the line. Toulouse now sit just two points behind York Knights with two more rounds to be played.<\/p>\n

Bradford, on the other hand, are two points further back and will now need a miracle if they are to get their hands on the League Leaders\u2019 Shield.<\/p>\n
