Speaking on The Tennis Podcast<\/a>, all three pundits combined to weigh in on this blockbuster showdown, set to be played on Monday night.<\/p>\n Matt Roberts was the first to comment, noting: \u201cSuch an intriguing match, considering everything going on with Gauff\u2019s game and considering this much better form than Naomi Osaka\u2019s in. <\/p>\n \u201cAnd if Osaka can win it, she then reaches that point in the tournament, where\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n \u201cWhere she\u2019ll definitely win the title,\u201d Catherine Whitaker interjected, laughing.<\/p>\n Roberts continued: \u201cRight, because she\u2019s never lost. Like, the fourth round has been the one. If she gets past the fourth round, she\u2019s gone on to convert all of those into titles. As much as I would love to have Coco Gauff in this tournament, I\u2019d love to have Naomi Osaka and just test that theory, whether she\u2019s still that big-match player that she always was. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m excited about it, but I don\u2019t want to lose either of them either.\u201d<\/p>\n David Law then offered his conclusive comments: \u201cYou\u2019ve got the biggest, best, big-match player in the sport in Coco Gauff, who manages to win matches playing really not very well, against somebody who really struggles not to get down on herself and get frustrated, and is out of practice of winning big. <\/p>\n \u201cAnd I think that that is the big test. Toe to toe, the better tennis I\u2019ve seen has been from Osaka.
