A Japanese macaque from the Highland Wildlife Park has undergone a CT scan after suffering from frequent nosebleeds.<\/p>\n

The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) said eight-year-old Ishin underwent the scan in a bid to understand his condition.<\/p>\n

The wildlife conservation charity worked with Burgess Diagnostics, who provided a portable CT scanner.<\/p>\n

The Highland Wildlife Park is home to a large number of Japanese macaques, which normally live in large groups with a strict hierarchy.<\/p>\n

Results from the scan are being analysed by the veterinary team to determine the next steps.<\/p>\n
