The Bayeux Tapestry is due to go on show at the British Museum late next year.<\/p>\n<p class=\"pt-dp-p font-text-light font-light text-lg leading-normal tracking-wide mb-base last:mb-0\" itemprop=\"text\">Hockney\u2019s iPad images, produced during the Covid-19 pandemic, will also feature. \u201cHis compositions combine flat areas of bold colour with playful pop-like touches,\u201d says a gallery statement. \u201cAs the days pass, lockdown lifts, and spring transitions into summer, then autumn and winter. Hockney didn\u2019t stop at painting spring, he captured the whole cycle of the year.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"pt-dp-p font-text-light font-light text-lg leading-normal tracking-wide mb-base last:mb-0\" itemprop=\"text\">Hockney\u2019s recent works, the Moon Room\u2014which, according to the gallery, \u201creflects his lifelong interest in the cycle of light and time passing\u201d,\u2014will also be on show, alongside digital paintings from the artist\u2019s\u00a0Sunrise\u00a0body of work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"pt-dp-p font-text-light font-light text-lg leading-normal tracking-wide mb-base last:mb-0\" itemprop=\"text\">Hockney shows are a proven crowd-pleaser; his retrospective at Tate Britain in 2017 drew more than 478,000 visitors. The largest-ever exhibition on the British artist also recently <a class=\"transition-all duration-default shadow-internalLink hover:text-red-900\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theartnewspaper.com\/2025\/07\/17\/review-david-hockney-25-at-fondation-louis-vuitton-paris\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">took over<\/a> the entire Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, attracting thousands more visitors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"pt-dp-p font-text-light font-light text-lg leading-normal tracking-wide mb-base last:mb-0\" itemprop=\"text\">Meanwhile, <a class=\"transition-all duration-default shadow-internalLink hover:text-red-900\" href=\"https:\/\/www.theartnewspaper.com\/2025\/05\/15\/new-lease-of-life-london-annely-juda-fine-art-looks-to-future-mayfair-move\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Annely Juda Fine Art<\/a> has announced that the opening show in its new gallery in London&#8217;s Hanover Square will also be dedicated to Hockney.
