Noel Gallagher’s daughter has disclosed the “harsh” comments she received from a BBC<\/a> producer after securing a television role. In a recent chat, photographer and model Anai\u0308s Gallagher, the oldest of Noel’s <\/a>three offspring (along with Sonny and Donovan Gallagher), revealed how being the daughter of a music icon has affected her career<\/a>.<\/p>\n When she began working, Anai\u0308s revealed that she tried her hand at TV presenting and even secured a spot on a CBBC <\/a>programme. However, she would quickly face her initial encounter with what was described as “nepo-baby-ism”.<\/p>\n The term ‘nepo baby’ (short for ‘nepotism baby’) <\/a>refers to a person who has personally benefited from the success and station of their parents, whether they are powerful or famous.<\/p>\n Anai\u0308s revealed to Grazia magazine: “I was 12 or 13. Before I went on, the producer of the show said, ‘You have to be really good; you can’t mess up. If you do, people will say I only put you on the show because of your dad’.”<\/p>\n It appears that Ana\u00efs is under no illusions about her position as Noel’s daughter. She added: “I think it was fair. It was harsh but completely true.” Speaking further on the topic, she said she was “massively in denial” and “pushed against it” to begin with.<\/p>\n Nevertheless, after attending Camberwell College of Arts<\/a> to pursue art photography, Anai\u0308s went on to confess that she became “really embarrassed” about her “privilege” and chose not to reveal her father’s identity.<\/p>\n Yet, her stance on the matter has mellowed now. Indeed, Ana\u00efs <\/a>admitted that she’s “not delusional” and is aware that Noel has aided her “immensely”, divulging that she never had to get a part-time job in her younger years.<\/p>\n She went on to share that if she ever needed a new camera, her dad would buy it, and acknowledged how fortunate she is.<\/p>\n She even went as far as to call him a “cool dad” and then contrasted him with some people’s parents, who might be “a horrible Tory politician or something.”<\/p>\n Ana\u00efs was born in 2000 to Noel and columnist Meg Mathews, but the couple would later divorce in 2001.<\/p>\n As part of her modelling career, she has worked with Reebok, H&M, Dolce & Gabbana<\/a> and Accessorize.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, her formal education in photography has been put to good use, as she’s spent time documenting her dad’s tour with his side-project band, the High Flying Birds<\/a>, and has reportedly shot behind-the-scenes on film <\/a>sets.<\/p>\n Speaking to Hello! Fashion about her family, she said: “We’re very unapologetically ourselves as a family. I’ve always thought it’s way better to be hated for something you are than loved for something you’re not.
