\n\tCharlie Hunnam<\/a> is staying in the \u201cMonster<\/a>\u201c-verse, with the British actor currently in negotiations to star in the fourth season of the Ryan Murphy anthology series at Netflix<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs previously announced<\/a>, \u201cMonster\u201d Season 4 will focus on the Lizzie Borden case. According to sources, Hunnam would play Andrew Jackson Borden, Lizzie\u2019s father. Ella Beaty will play Lizzie<\/a>, while Rebecca Hall will play Lizzie\u2019s stepmother, Abby, and Vicky Krieps will play Bridget Sullvan, a maid in the Borden household.<\/p>\n

\n\tReps for Netflix declined to comment. <\/p>\n

\n\tHunnam recently completed filming on \u201cMonster\u201d Season 3, in which he will play notorious serial killer Ed Gein.<\/a> He is best known for starring in the popular FX outlaw biker drama \u201cSons of Anarchy,\u201d on which he played Jackson \u201cJax\u201d Teller for seven seasons. He also starred in the Apple series adaptation of the book \u201cShantaram,\u201d while his other TV credits include \u201cUndeclared\u201d and \u201cQueer as Folk.\u201d His film credits include \u201cPacific Rim,\u201d \u201cThe Gentlemen,\u201d \u201cTrue History of the Kelly Gang,\u201d \u201cRebel Moon \u2013 Part One: A Child of Fire,\u201d and \u201cThe Lost City of Z.\u201d Hunnam is also set for a major role in the upcoming Amazon crime drama \u201cCriminal.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tLizzie Borden lived in Massachusetts in the late 1800s. In 1892, she was accused of murdering both her father and her stepmother with an axe at their shared home. Borden was eventually acquitted of the crimes, but the brutal nature of the murders attracted nationwide attention and contributed to Borden\u2019s place in popular culture.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe case has been the subject of numerous adaptations across a wide variety of media. Recent examples include \u201cThe Lizzie Borden Chronicles\u201d TV series starring Christina Ricci and the film \u201cLizzie\u201d starring Chlo\u00eb Sevigny and Kristen Stewart.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMonster\u201d originally debuted on Netflix in 2022 and hailed from creators Murphy and Ian Brennan. The first season received widespread acclaim, particularly for the performances of Evan Peters as Jeffrey Dahmer and Niecey Nash as Glenda Cleveland. Peters won a Golden Globe for the show, while Nash won an Emmy. It currently ranks as the fourth most-watched season of TV in Netflix history. Season 2 debuted in September 2024 and told the story of the Menendez brothers.<\/p>\n
