Olivia Attwood<\/a>‘s reality show Bad Boyfriends<\/a> has confirmed a return date, along with a brand-new cast of couples. <\/p>\n

The “explosive” second season of the popular series will premiere on Sunday, 14 September at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX, as the Love Island star tries to get a group of unruly boyfriends to see the error of their ways.<\/p>\n

Following the reality format of the previous season, the new episodes will see eight bad boyfriends “travel to a paradise under the guise of a new raucous TV show but are soon met with a game-changing surprise” (via ITV). <\/p>\n

The series teases “new twists and turns and jaw-dropping revelations” as the contestants “compete in a series of fresh tests and challenges in a bid to be crowned the most-improved boyfriend,” all under Attwood and her team’s watchful eye. <\/p>\n

“You’re going to go on a wild rollercoaster,” teased professional fighter Akonne, one of this year’s participants alongside his partner, content creator Daniella.<\/p>\n

They are joined in the new series by semi-professional footballer Chaynie and receptionist Veronica, care assistant Anthony and care home activities co-ordinator Dillon, and roofer Dan and hairdresser Ellie. <\/p>\n

Recruiter Izzy and sports coach Max, driver Italo and GP liaison officer Jacinta, roofer Joe and scientist Mia, and energy healing therapist Miles and cyber security worker Shay complete the line-up for the series this year. <\/p>\n

After amassing over 12 million streams on ITVX with its first series, Bad Boyfriends is coming back with a “bigger and better” season<\/a>, as Attwood described it earlier this year. <\/p>\n

“I learned so much from the first series and we already know how to grow it and make it bigger and better,” she said. <\/p>\n

“This year is so exciting, to have that hat trick of recommissions was just incredible, I felt like I was dreaming when I heard that. Getting the first commission of any format is amazing but, in this climate, recommissions almost feel like bigger validation.”
