If your gym time is limited, you want exercises that maximize strength, muscle growth, and functional movement\u2014all areas where leg extensions fall short.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Replacement: Bulgarian Split Squat<\/p>\n<p>Behind-the-Neck Press<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">&#8220;This puts your shoulders in a really disadvantaged position,&#8221; he says.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Overhead pressing behind the neck can place unnatural stress on the shoulder joint and rotator cuff, increasing the risk of injury over time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Replacement: Neutral Shoulder Press<\/p>\n<p>Crunch<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-lg md:leading-8 break-words\">Maximus doesn\u2019t think crunches are necessarily bad or injury-inducing\u2014they\u2019re just inefficient from a functional perspective.
