Ryan Garcia<\/a> has shared his insight into the upcoming \u2018super-fight\u2019 between Canelo<\/a> Alvarez and Terence Crawford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Mexican superstar Canelo is set to defend his undisputed super-middleweight championship against the 37-year-old from Omaha<\/a> on Saturday September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada.<\/p>\n

Crawford will make the move up to 168lbs for the first time in his career to challenge Canelo<\/a>, having spent most of his tenure campaigning at welterweight where he defeated Errol Spence Jr via ninth round stoppage to capture the undisputed championship in July 2023.<\/p>\n

One man that has witnessed the preparations of Canelo up close and personal is Garcia, who was previously a member of the Mexican superstar\u2019s training camp under the guidance of head coach Eddy Reynoso before they parted ways.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the Cigar Talk Podcast<\/a>, Garcia admitted that whilst he expects Crawford to \u2018do good\u2019, he predicts his former stable mate Canelo to get the job done on fight night having witnessed him in sparring sessions previously.<\/p>\n

\u201cMan I really see that Bud is gonna do good but I don\u2019t think he\u2019s gonna win, but I do see Bud like getting a lot of punches off, being able to tag Canelo with shots but they have no effect that\u2019s the thing.<\/p>\n

I know he\u2019s gonna be able to hit Canelo because I\u2019ve seen Canelo in sparring where he like not that he\u2019s getting hit, well he is getting hit but it\u2019s so ineffective that what he\u2019s doing is just he\u2019s imposing himself too well and I still see that happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Canelo has been a dominant force at super-middleweight since making the move up from 160lbs back in 2018, racking up a number of impressive victories over the likes of Gennady Golovkin, Jaime Munguia and Callum Smith amongst many others.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Ryan Garcia has shared his insight into the upcoming \u2018super-fight\u2019 between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford.
