Perez Hilton<\/a> is once again at the center of one of Hollywood\u2019s messiest legal feuds, walking out of a Nevada courtroom on Tuesday with a smile and calling the day\u2019s developments a victory. The longtime blogger, who rose to fame spilling celebrity gossip, has found himself pulled into Blake Lively<\/a>\u2019s $250 million lawsuit against “It Ends with Us” co-star Justin Baldoni<\/a> after the actress subpoenaed him for communications and unpublished material. While the court fight is far from over, Perez Hilton insisted Tuesday’s outcome was a setback for Lively\u2019s side, and he didn\u2019t hold back when it came to sharing his thoughts outside the courthouse.<\/p>\n

Speaking to the press, including The Blast, outside of the courthouse on Tuesday, Perez Hilton seemingly mocked Lively and her legal team, claiming the actress had actually raised his profile by dragging him into the lawsuit.<\/p>\n

\u201cMelissa Nathan told Justin Baldoni that I\u2019m irrelevant, a has-been, a troll. Her exact words,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd now, thanks to Blake Lively, I\u2019m a lot less irrelevant than in 2024. So once again, thank you, Blake Lively. Whoo!\u201d<\/p>\n

Hilton made the quip with a grin, clearly enjoying the chance to spin the courtroom drama back on Lively and her team.<\/p>\n

Hilton Calls Judge\u2019s Order A Win<\/p>\n

As The Blast reported, Hilton described Tuesday\u2019s ruling as a win<\/a>, even if the process ahead is lengthy. \u201cI view that as a win, because her lawyers said in court today, \u2018We want this resolved quickly.\u2019 And I wanted that as well, until I found out I can have her pay for all of the work it would take to compile a detailed privilege log, which is what the judge is requesting,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

The judge ordered Hilton to gather quotes from three forensic experts and a paralegal by Monday. \u201cThe judge will then assess the fairness of those estimates and force Blake Lively to pay for them if she wants this privilege log,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cand even just that is not quick. The estimate is by Monday, then compiling the privilege logs might take weeks or over a month.\u201d<\/p>\n

Though he admitted the ordeal has left him drained, Hilton vowed he isn\u2019t backing down. \u201cI want to be done with this. I\u2019m tired,\u201d he confessed. \u201cBut I\u2019m willing to keep fighting and keep the process going because it\u2019s the right thing to do for journalists, and to not be intimidated by this woman and her husband using their money to get things they know they\u2019re not entitled to.\u201d<\/p>\n

Hilton also claimed that Lively\u2019s attorney, Merrill Kommerksy, left Tuesday\u2019s hearing visibly unhappy. \u201cThe judge was not feeling Blake\u2019s lawyer\u2026 she was not happy. She\u2019s leaving the court dejected, not giving her client the outcome that she wanted,\u201d Hilton said.<\/p>\n

Despite representing himself pro se, Hilton said the day reinforced his belief that the system favors the wealthy. \u201cI truly believe there are two justices in this world. One for regular folks, and then there\u2019s a justice system for the wealthy and powerful,\u201d he told reporters.<\/p>\n

Perez Hilton\u2019s latest appearance stems from a subpoena filed by Lively, who has accused Hilton of playing a role in what they describe as a smear campaign, pointing to his coverage of the actress as evidence. The subpoena seeks Hilton\u2019s communications and unpublished materials that could support Lively\u2019s claims, but Hilton has pushed back hard, arguing that Nevada\u2019s journalist shield laws protect him from having to hand over his sources or private notes. He insists his commentary about the case has been based on his own opinions and reporting, not on any coordinated effort with Baldoni\u2019s camp.<\/p>\n

Tuesday\u2019s hearing focused on whether those protections apply and how the court should handle potentially privileged documents, a fight that could have major implications not only for Hilton, but for digital journalists across the country.<\/p>\n

While Hilton admitted he doesn\u2019t want to be involved, he said Tuesday\u2019s result gave him confidence to keep fighting. \u201cSo while, unfortunately, this is ongoing for me, I am viewing today as a small win. It\u2019s a win for journalists, and it\u2019s a win for me,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
