{"id":111475,"date":"2025-09-03T12:30:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-03T12:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/111475\/"},"modified":"2025-09-03T12:30:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-03T12:30:07","slug":"tom-holland-says-christopher-nolans-the-odyssey-is-the-best-script-ive-ever-read","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/111475\/","title":{"rendered":"Tom Holland Says Christopher Nolan&#8217;s &#8216;The Odyssey&#8217; Is The &#8220;Best Script I&#8217;ve Ever Read&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/tom-holland\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tom-holland\" data-tag=\"tom-holland\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Tom Holland<\/a> is praising <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/christopher-nolan\/\" id=\"auto-tag_christopher-nolan\" data-tag=\"christopher-nolan\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Christopher Nolan<\/a>\u2018s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/the-odyssey\/\" id=\"auto-tag_the-odyssey\" data-tag=\"the-odyssey\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Odyssey<\/a> after wrapping up production of the film and right before filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHolland is set to play Telemachus in Nolan\u2019s adaptation of Homer\u2019s classic, which features a star-studded cast.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThe script is the best script I\u2019ve ever read,\u201d Holland told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.france24.com\/en\/live-news\/20250902-nolan-s-odyssey-script-is-best-i-ve-ever-read-says-tom-holland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Agence France-Presse (via France 24)<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tOn working with Nolan, Holland said the filmmaker \u201cis a real collaborator,\u201d adding, \u201cHe knows what he wants\u2026 but it is not an environment where you can\u2019t pitch ideas or build characters in certain ways.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe Odyssey is slated to premiere on July 17, 2026, and it is an adaptation of the epic poem from Homer and the story of Odysseus, King of Ithaca, and his perilous journey home after the Trojan War.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThe cast of the film includes Matt Damon, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Lupita Nyong\u2019o, Robert Pattinson, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, Benny Safdie, John Leguizamo, Elliot Page, among many others.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tIt\u2019s not the first time Holland praises his time with Nolan. In<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/tom-holland-christopher-nolan-the-odyssey-1236455956\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"> <\/a>an <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2025\/07\/tom-holland-christopher-nolan-the-odyssey-1236455956\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">interview with GQ posted in July<\/a>, Holland called his experience \u201camazing\u201d and \u201cthe job of a lifetime.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\t\u201cThe best experience I\u2019ve had on the film set. Incredible,\u201d Holland told <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gq.com\/story\/tom-holland-come-on-you-spurs\">GQ<\/a>. \u201cIt was exciting. It was different. And I think the movie is going to be unlike anything we\u2019ve ever seen.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHe continued, \u201cWorking with Chris, getting to know him and Emma [Thomas] was absolutely fantastic. I\u2019ve never seen someone that can work the way that they do, and there is a reason why they\u2019re the best in the business for sure.
