\n The report\u00a0said that people at the home were happy and cared for by staff who knew them.\n<\/p>\n
\n The CQC said that the home had previously been in breach of legal regulations,\u00a0in relation to safe care and treatment.\n<\/p>\n
\n An assessment was undertaken to check that the provider had followed the action plan from the last inspection, and the report stated that improvements had been made.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n The report said that staff\u00a0understood and managed risks to people\u2019s health and welfare.\n<\/p>\n
\n It also said there was enough\u00a0staff with the right skills, qualifications, and experience, and staff were recruited safely.\n<\/p>\n
\n The home, on Queens Road,\u00a0was ‘generally well maintained’, though the report told of a leak in the ceiling of the dining room, which has been repaired since the inspection.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n It was clean, and improvements had been made to the kitchen and laundry since the last inspection, though it was suggested that some areas would benefit from decoration.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n
\n The CQC explained that since the last inspection, there has been a change in management, and that the new manager promoted\u00a0a ‘learning culture’ based on ‘honesty and transparency’.\n<\/p>\n
\n The report,\u00a0published on August 27, said that because of this, people\u00a0and staff felt able to talk to the\u00a0manager, and that there was an open-door policy.\n<\/p>\n
\n The report said: “Feedback from people and their relatives about the support they received was consistently good.\n<\/p>\n
\n “People told us they were happy with the support provided at Elizabeth House, and the staff were kind and caring.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Relatives were positive about the care their loved ones received.\n<\/p>\n
\n “They told us staff knew their loved ones well and provided the care and support they needed.\n<\/p>\n
\n “Overall, people felt there were enough staff available to support them; our observations during the assessment found staff to be attentive and quick to respond to people\u2019s requests for assistance.\n<\/p>\n
\n “We observed people were happy and comfortable around the staff and there was a good level of positive interaction between staff and people.\n<\/p>\n
\n “People and relatives spoke highly of the manager and found her approachable.\n<\/p>\n
\n “One relative told us,\u00a0‘The manager has been the one constant in the home.
