Ron Perlman (Hellboy), Ted Levine (The Silence of the Lambs), and Margarita Levieva (\u201cDaredevil: Born Again\u201d) have been cast in major recurring roles on Apple TV+\u2019s \u201cCape Fear,\u201d Deadline<\/a> reports.<\/p>\n

From executive producers Martin Scorsese and Steven Spielberg, the 10-episode series is now in production.<\/p>\n

Javier Bardem (No Country for Old Men), Amy Adams (Arrival), and Patrick Wilson (The Conjuring) star.<\/p>\n

A storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna (Adams) and Tom Bowden (Wilson) when Max Cady (Bardem), a notorious killer from their past, gets out of prison.<\/p>\n

The show is based on both John D. MacDonald\u2018s 1957 novel The Executioners, which was adapted into 1962\u2019s Cape Fear starring Gregory Peck, and Scorsese\u2019s 1991 remake with Robert De Niro.<\/p>\n

\u201cChannel Zero\u201d and \u201cBrand New Cherry Flavor\u201d creator Nick Antosca serves as showrunner, writer, and executive producer. Morten Tyldum (The Imitation Game, Passengers) is directing the pilot and executive producing.<\/p>\n

CCH Pounder (\u201cThe Shield\u201d), Malia Pyles (\u201cPretty Little Liars\u201d), Anna Baryshnikov (Love Lies Bleeding), Jamie Hector (\u201cThe Wire\u201d), Lily Collias (Good One), and Joe Anders (1917) round out the cast.<\/p>\n

UCP, where Antosca and his Eat the Cat banner are under an overall deal, is producing alongside Amblin Television.<\/p>\n
