\n\tPlan B<\/a>, the production biz Brad Pitt<\/a> founded with Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner, has launched a European subsidiary.<\/p>\n

\n\tPlan B Europe<\/a> will be based in London and led by Ed Macdonald<\/a>, the Clerkenwell Films exec best known for era-defining Netflix show Baby Reindeer.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe European office will will to increase the number of premium-tier series Plan B makes in the UK and across Europe. Plan B\u2019s international TV efforts to date have included co-producing Netflix\u2019s other major British drama hit of recent years, the Stephen Graham-starring Adolescence.<\/p>\n

\n\tPlan B has been part of France-based Mediawan<\/a> since 2022. The European base launch \u201cmarks a major next step in the integration\u201d of Pitt, Gardner and Kleiner\u2019s company into its parent, according to Mediawan.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe pair added it also \u201cdemonstrates the international ambitions of both Plan B and Mediawan, as well as their mutual commitment to accelerating existing co-productions, generating new synergies and finding innovative ways to finance projects, with the UK\u2019s unique position as a bridge between the American and European industries and as one of Europe\u2019s most attractive hubs for film and TV funding.\u00a0\u201c<\/p>\n

\n\tPierre-Antoine Capton, CEO and cofounder of Mediawan Group, and\u00a0Elisabeth d\u2019Arvieu, CEO of Mediawan Pictures talked up the opportunity for Plan B Europe, calling its launch a \u201ckey milestone\u201d in their group\u2019s story.<\/p>\n
