After losing the first two rounds, Ferguson landed a flurry of punches on Papi, who looked to be properly defending himself, before the referee stepped in and stopped the fight.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Now that Ferguson has gotten his hand raised again, Covington feels he should now call it a career on a victory,<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cHappy for him,\u201d Covington said on his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KIqURdFkC8U\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">YouTube channel<\/a>. \u201cSuper congratulations to Tony for actually winning a fight. Even though it was against some influencer that has no combat sports experience, a win\u2019s a win.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cMy advice to Tony is quit while you\u2019re ahead and ride off into the sunset. Go enjoy time with your family, brother. If you get back in there again, you\u2019re going to get hurt, and no one wants to see you get hurt, Tony, because we like you. No more hits to the head, and no more reason to give Duck-Lip [Justin] Gaethje a run for his money for King of CTE.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Ferguson snapped an eight-fight losing streak, which included losses to Justin Gaethje, Charles Oliveira, Paddy Pimblett, Michael Chandler, and Nate Diaz. The former interim lightweight champ\u2019s most recent win prior to this past Saturday was a doctor\u2019s stoppage TKO win over Donald Cerrone at UFC 238 in June 2019.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">Covington and Ferguson have had a weird relationship \u2014 including a wacky back-and-forth at the UFC 296 pre-fight press conference where both were verbally at each other\u2019s throats, then being buddies on Team America 45 seconds later.<\/p>\n<p class=\"duet--article--dangerously-set-cms-markup duet--article--standard-paragraph _1nfb3k4i _16w9vov1 _16w9vov0 ls9zuh1\">\u201cI think we\u2019re friends, I don\u2019t know it went so many different ways,\u201d Covington said. \u201cWe were friends, we were enemies, we were friends, and then we were enemies again.
