Jannik Sinner<\/a> was able to charm his Danish model girlfriend in unusual fashion thanks to a shared love of ice cream.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sinner, 24, is reportedly dating Laila Hasanovic, also 24, with the Dane having been seen in his player’s box at both Roland Garros and Wimbledon<\/a> earlier this year.\u00a0<\/p>\n

According to a report from Italian outlet Corriere Dello Sport<\/a>, Roberto and Nicoletta Stampfl, owners of the Santo Gelato ice cream shop in Monte Carlo are said to have ‘confirmed the relationship’ between the pair.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Ms Stampfl said: ‘Sinner and Laila Hasanovic live in the La Condamine neighborhood of Monte Carlo. Our shop is right under their building. I really liked Laila, she’s kind, just like Jannik.<\/p>\n

‘She’s beautiful, very simple in the way she carries herself and dresses. In short, she’s a very down-to-earth girl.\u00a0<\/p>\n

‘Sinner knows [a lot] about [ice cream] when he comes here, he tastes before deciding. But in the end, he always chooses pistachio and black cherry, his favourite flavours.’\u00a0<\/p>\n

Hasanovic was seen on the red carpet at the Venice International Film Festival last week<\/p>\n

It follows Sinner’s charge to the US Open semi-finals after he swept aside fellow Italian Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets.\u00a0<\/p>\n

After winning 6-1 6-4 6-2 at Flushing Meadows, Sinner will face Canadian Felix Auger Aliassime in the last four on Friday for a place in the final.<\/a>\u00a0<\/p>\n

Sinner has previously dismissed suggestions of a romance when Italian reporters claimed he had been seen on a date in Copenhagen with Hasanovic, insisting: ‘No, no, there was no girl.’<\/p>\n

‘I had just some business with a couple of photo shootings there. That’s it. Nothing else.’<\/p>\n

But after a zoomed-in photo of his phone screensaver emerged earlier this week in New York, fans were unconvinced that he was single.\u00a0<\/p>\n

One wrote: ‘Him having his gf’s pic as wallpaper\u2026 and they say he’s not a romantic man.’<\/p>\n

Another joked: ‘Goodbye Jannik Sinner in his single era, you were bigger than the whole sky.’<\/p>\n

The 24-year-old’s dating history has drawn plenty of attention in recent seasons.<\/p>\n

He was previously in a relationship with fellow tennis player Anna Kalinskaya, who herself had dated Nick Kyrgios, and later linked with Russian model Lara Leito, a former partner of Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody.<\/p>\n
