This funding is intended to strengthen Poa Internet\u2019s network, thereby expanding affordable broadband access to underserved communities throughout Kenya. The initiative is supported by the European Union and the European Fund for Sustainable Development Plus (EFSD+), as part of the EU\u2019s Global Gateway program.<\/p>\n<p>Founded in 2015, Poa Internet has become a prominent player in delivering low-cost internet services to low- and middle-income areas in Kenya. The company offers unlimited home internet plans starting at KES 1,575 per month, a price significantly lower than traditional providers. With more than 238,000 subscribers, Poa Internet ranks among Kenya\u2019s largest internet service providers.<\/p>\n<p>The investment will help expand Poa Internet\u2019s fiber network, utilizing Nokia\u2019s technology to enhance infrastructure and service delivery. Finnfund\u2019s backing highlights its commitment to advancing digital inclusion and fostering economic growth across the continent.<\/p>\n<p>This collaboration is in line with Kenya\u2019s broader goals of reducing the digital divide and ensuring inclusive access to digital services.
