\n Caerphilly Council has issued a public notice<\/a> outlining temporary traffic measures for the Tour of Britain cycle race.\n<\/p>\n

\n The event is scheduled to take place on September 7.\n<\/p>\n

\n It will affect towns and villages along the route from Risca to Caerphilly.\n<\/p>\n

\n The restrictions will be in place between 10.30am and 4pm.\n<\/p>\n

\n They include a prohibition on waiting and loading on specified stretches of road.\n<\/p>\n

\n A temporary suspension of one-way traffic will be in effect on Castle Street, Caerphilly, between 1.45pm and 3.15pm.\n<\/p>\n

\n Speed limits will also be suspended for vehicles associated with the event.\n<\/p>\n

\n Access to properties will be maintained for pedestrians and emergency services only.\n<\/p>\n

\n Alternative routes will be available via the B4251, B4256, B4257, 84471, A465, A467, A469, A470, A472, A4046, A4048, and the M4.\n<\/p>\n

\n The full list of affected roads and the lengths of each restriction are as follows:\n<\/p>\n

\n – Commercial Street (northeastern side from Brookland Road to No 40\/42 Commercial Street, 53m)\n<\/p>\n

\n – Tredegar Street (northeastern side opposite Nos 3 to boundary of Nos 13 and 15 Tredegar Street, 49m)\n<\/p>\n

\n Crosskeys:\n<\/p>\n

\n – Cromwell Road (southern side from Raglan Street to No 4 Cromwell Street, 256m)\n<\/p>\n

\n – Gladstone Street (northwestern side between the entrance to the car park and No 21, 76m; and between Nos 27 and 50, 87m)\n<\/p>\n

\n Wattsville:\n<\/p>\n

\n – Islwyn Road (northern side between Nos 95 and 109, 42m)\n<\/p>\n

\n Cwmfelinfach:\n<\/p>\n

\n – Pontygwindy Road (northeastern and eastern side from NoPontygwindy Road in a south-easterly and southerly direction to its junction with Mill Street, 920m) – White Street (western side from its junction with Windsor Street in a southerly direction to its junction with Bartlett Street, 140m) – White Street (eastern side from its junction with Bartlett Street in a northerly direction to the rear boundary wall of No 67 Bartlett Street, 23m) – Bartlett Street (northern side from its junction with White Street in a westerly direction to its junction with Broomfield Street, 100m)\n<\/p>\n

\n The notice was issued by Clive Campbell, interim director of infrastructure and waste services at Caerphilly County Borough Council<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n
