Alex Michelsen will make his Laver Cup debut in San Francisco.

Americans Alex Michelsen<\/a> and Reilly Opelka<\/a> will feature for Team World at this year’s Laver Cup<\/a> in San Francisco, where they are replacing the injured pair of Ben Shelton<\/a> and Tommy Paul<\/a>.<\/p>\n Shelton suffered a shoulder injury during his US Open<\/a> third-round match with Adrian Mannarino<\/a> and was forced to retire with the score at two sets apiece, while Paul struggled physically in his five-set defeat to Alexander Bublik<\/a> at the same stage.<\/p>\n Team World are aiming to recapture the title after Team Europe triumphed in Berlin last year. Michelsen and Opelka will be joined by World No. 4 Taylor Fritz<\/a>, Frances Tiafoe<\/a>, 18-year-old Brazilian Joao Fonseca<\/a> and Francisco Cerundolo<\/a>, under the leadership of Andre Agassi<\/a>.<\/p>\n Spearheaded by captain Yannick Noah<\/a>, Team Europe will feature Carlos Alcaraz<\/a>, Alexander Zverev<\/a>, Holger Rune<\/a>, Casper Ruud<\/a>, Jakub Mensik<\/a> and Flavio Cobolli<\/a>.
