Jaron Ennis<\/a> has had his say on the upcoming \u2018super-fight\u2019 between Canelo Alvarez<\/a> and Terence Crawford<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Mexican superstar will defend his undisputed super-middleweight world championship against \u2018Bud\u2019 Crawford next Saturday September 13 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada<\/a>, with the event broadcast live worldwide on Netflix.<\/p>\n

Former unified WBA and IBF welterweight champion \u2018Boots\u2019 Ennis joined up with Alvarez\u2019s training camp in recent weeks and has spent some time sparring with the Mexican icon<\/a>, preparing him for what could be one of the toughest tests of his career.<\/p>\n

Speaking to FightHype<\/a> prior to him entering Canelo\u2019s camp, \u2018Boots\u2019 shared his thoughts on the much anticipated showdown between the Mexican great and Crawford, as he claims it\u2019s a \u2018great fight\u2019 for the sport.<\/p>\n

\u201cI mean that\u2019s a big jump to be going from 54 to 68, I mean it\u2019s a great fight for boxing \u2026 I guess the world wants to see it so.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ennis was then asked whether or not he believes \u2018Bud\u2019 has a serious chance of defeating Alvarez, and believes the natural super-middleweight has a \u201970 percent\u2019 of getting his hand raised.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m gonna say it\u2019s like a 60\/40 Canelo, or 70\/30 Canelo, you know Canelo been at the weight. He\u2019s been fighting bigger guys so he kind of used to being at the weight so I would lean more towards Canelo. I think Crawford could have a chance, but I would lean more towards Canelo though.\u201d<\/p>\n

There have been some concerns raised about Crawford making he jump up in two weight classes to face Canelo<\/a>, having spent the majority of the past decade campaigning at welterweight where he became the undisputed champion with a victory over Errol Spence Jr in July 2023.<\/p>\n

Alvarez jumped up to super-middleweight from 160lbs back in 2018 and since then has racked up victories over the likes of Gennady Golovkin, Jaime Munguia and Jermell Charlo, becoming the undisputed champion on two occasions during this period, the latest beginning when he defeated William Scull in May.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Jaron Ennis has had his say on the upcoming \u2018super-fight\u2019 between Canelo Alvarez and Terence Crawford.
