Teddy Atlas<\/a> has sensationally compared an unbeaten heavyweight star to the legendary Mike Tyson<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Tyson is widely considered to be one of boxing\u2019s greatest ever heavyweights<\/a>, proving himself to be a formidable force during the peak of his storied career which came during the late 1980s.<\/p>\n

He became the youngest world heavyweight champion ever when he stopped Trevor Berbick to capture the WBC heavyweight title in 1986, which he followed up by becoming the undisputed champion one year later with respective victories over WBA champion James Smith and IBF champion Tony Tucker.<\/p>\n

Nearly 30 years on, Britain\u2019s Moses Itauma is another young fighter that has emerged as a serious heavyweight contender over the last 18 months, and he remains unbeaten in 13 bouts since making his professional debut back in 2023.<\/p>\n

Speaking on his own YouTube channel THE FIGHT<\/a>, Teddy Atlas claimed that it isn\u2019t \u2018premature\u2019 to make comparisons between Tyson and Itauma, as he admits he believes the Brit is a \u2018sensational talent\u2019.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s not too premature [to make a comparison] between Moses Itauma and Mike Tyson. Hear me clearly and distinctly, all of you. I have no hesitation to say what I believe in. And I believe that it is not premature to make comparisons. He is that sensational, his talent. But here\u2019s where it differs. Itauma is as talented physically at this stage in his career and life as Tyson was. He is that sensational in those physical compartments.<\/p>\n

\u201cEither way, where they are as one is having that level of special talent. They hit you, they hurt you. They have speed as a combination with power. It is one of the things that made Mike Tyson stand out, the combination of both speed and power. And Itauma looks to have that same combination of speed and power.\u201d<\/p>\n

Itauma made his most recent ring appearance last month when he put on an outstanding performance to stop fellow countryman Dillian Whyte in the opening round of their bout in Riyadh on August 16.<\/a><\/p>\n
