if she couldn&#8217;t recognise her loved ones.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The actress, 79, said she supported the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill, which would allow adults with less than six months to live to apply for assisted death.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">The bill passed a vote in the House of Commons last month, despite objections from <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/labour\/index.html\" id=\"mol-ae97da10-65c7-11f0-a80a-b7fde25536b3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Labour<\/a> ministers and Health Secretary <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/wes-streeting\/index.html\" id=\"mol-ad7325a0-65c6-11f0-a80a-b7fde25536b3\" class=\"\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Wes Streeting<\/a>, and will be discussed in the House of Lords in the autumn.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">Dame Joanna, known for starring as Patsy in the <a style=\"font-weight: bold;\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/bbc\/index.html\" id=\"mol-ad74fa60-65c6-11f0-a80a-b7fde25536b3\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">BBC<\/a> comedy Absolutely Fabulous. was asked about the bill in an interview with Saga Magazine.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">She said: &#8216;People are terribly anxious about it and think you may be coerced.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;But I\u2019m saying this now, when nobody\u2019s coercing me &#8211; don\u2019t let me turn into somebody who doesn\u2019t recognise the people I love most, where I\u2019m having a miserable time.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">&#8216;When I get to that stage, when my mind is gone and I have to be fed, that won\u2019t be me any more &#8211; and I wouldn\u2019t mind saying &#8220;farewell&#8221;.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p class=\"mol-para-with-font\">TV presenter Dame Esther Rantzen has been another vocal supporter of the bill
