Tony Bellew<\/a> has had his say on a potential Tyson Fury<\/a> vs Moses Itauma<\/a> fight.<\/p>\n

Itauma has become one of the most highly-rated stars in the entire sport, and was last in action in August when he knocked out former world heavyweight title challenger Dillian Whyte inside one round.<\/a><\/p>\n

One man who has been very complimentary of Itauma in the past is Fury, who once declared the youngster as the future of the heavyweight division<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Fury himself is currently retired and hasn\u2019t fought since suffering back-to-back defeats to Oleksandr Usyk<\/a> in 2024, but that hasn\u2019t stopped people speculating how a potential clash between \u2018The Gypsy King\u2019 and Itauma would go.<\/p>\n

Former WBC cruiserweight champion Bellew has now weighed in with his take, telling the Pundit Arena<\/a> how a fight may play out.<\/p>\n

\u201cNobody is knocking out Tyson Fury. I just don\u2019t think Tyson would even entertain it. I don\u2019t see the point of making a prediction. Nobody would ever knock him out. He\u2019s too long in the tooth. He\u2019s too smart. He\u2019s clever. He\u2019s got so many different attributes to use to negate what you do well.<\/p>\n

Just look at the size of Tyson Fury compared to Moses Itauma. And I know people will say that Itauma is a similar size to Oleksandr Usyk. But you\u2019re talking about possibly one of the greatest boxes of this generation. You cannot compare Moses Itauma to Oleksandr Usyk.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think you\u2019ll ever be able to compare anyone to Oleksandr Usyk. This guy reigned supreme at cruiserweight, went all around the world defeating them, smacking everyone\u2019s ass, including mine. He then goes to heavyweights and does the exact same again.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bellew then said you couldn\u2019t pick Itauma to beat Fury until we\u2019ve seen him go past six rounds.<\/p>\n

\u201cMoses has got to go past six rounds. No one can be picking Moses against the top level heavyweights if he hasn\u2019t been past six rounds. I don\u2019t doubt how good he is. I think he\u2019s absolutely exceptional. But you will never know how good he is until he goes past six rounds.<\/p>\n

He might be winning by country mile, but it\u2019s uncharted territory. It\u2019s unknown ground that he\u2019s walking on when he goes past six rounds and it\u2019s all well and good saying you\u2019ve done it in the gym. I tell fighters all the time that the gym ain\u2019t the ring on fight night. The pressure, the lights, the cameras, the will and an urge to win.<\/p>\n

Someone can be old manning you. You don\u2019t even know because you\u2019ve not experienced it, you\u2019ve not been there before. You have to experience it. And I would suggest to someone like Moses Itauma to experience it for the first time on a lesser level, I think Andy Ruiz would be the perfect fight for him. He comes to win. He ain\u2019t lying down for nobody. I think that would be a really good fight to make.\u201d<\/p>\n
