Taylor Fritz enjoyed another lengthy run at the US Open, but his search for a maiden Grand Slam title was ended by Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals.<\/p>\n

Fritz impressed more than any other American man<\/a> at the US Open<\/a>, having done the same last year by reaching the final.<\/p>\n

He lost that final to Jannik Sinner, and fell short of a chance at redemption this time around after losing 3-6, 5-7, 6-3, 4-6 to Djokovic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Djokovic battled the US Open crowd<\/a> in his meeting with Fritz<\/a>, but couldn\u2019t continue his form into the semifinals, where he lost to Carlos Alcaraz.<\/p>\n

Alcaraz now takes on Sinner for the title in New York, with the ATP<\/a> top two having also met in this year\u2019s French Open and Wimbledon finals.<\/p>\n

Fritz meanwhile has brought an end to his 2025 Grand Slam season, and has since taken to social media to summarise his latest tournament.<\/p>\n

He wrote on Instagram: \u201cThank you for the unreal energy as always US Open. Back to work and back on the grind.\u201d<\/p>\n

How did Taylor Fritz perform in the 2025 Grand Slams?<\/p>\n

Fritz endured a very disappointing start to his Grand Slam season, falling in the third round of the Australian Open and the first round of the French Open.<\/p>\n

The American did, however, recover in fine fashion, reaching the semifinals of Wimbledon before falling to Alcaraz.<\/p>\n

He has also had a season to be proud of elsewhere, with the world number four adding two ATP titles to his collection.<\/p>\n

The 2024 US Open runner-up emerged victorious in Eastbourne and Stuttgart, taking his career tally into double figures.<\/p>\n

But he would have really wanted a stronger finish in New York, particularly having been playing in front of his home fans.<\/p>\n

They would have been desperate for an American winner on home soil, but that wait must now continue in 2025.<\/p>\n

With his recent history in New York and his position as fourth seed this year, Fritz was arguably under the most pressure to deliver such success.<\/p>\n

Many eyes were, however, also on Canadian Open champion Ben Shelton, but he retired hurt during his third round match with Adrian Mannarino.<\/p>\n
