GB News<\/a> anchor Patrick Christys made an emotional announcement as his co-star wife Emily Carver gave birth. The pair have welcomed a son together, confirming his adorable name alongside a series of snapshots showing the pair holding their son in a baby carrier. Patrick wrote on Instagram<\/a>: \u201cGeorge Alexander Peter Christys came into the world at 5:26am on Friday, September 5th.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s a very happy, healthy, much-loved little boy. The beautiful Emily Carver was amazing throughout. Life lesson #1 George \u2013 always love and respect your mother.\u201d In one snap taken outside St Mary\u2019s Hospital, Emily clutched a bouquet of flowers and a neck pillow in one hand, while Patrick held onto George in his carrier.<\/p>\n

Sweet close-up snaps showed George in a panda onesie and a hat, before the couple arrived at home, both beaming.<\/p>\n

Emily shared a statement of her own<\/a>, writing: \u201cWelcome to the world our little tiny George Alexander Peter Christys!<\/p>\n

\u201cOur beautiful, healthy boy was born on the 5th September at 5.26am, weighing 6.5lbs. What a rollercoaster! We\u2019re now out of the hospital and settling into life as parents – with the support of our wonderful families.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you for all the thoughtful messages and well wishes and to the brilliant team at St Mary\u2019s Hospital for keeping us all safe.\u201d<\/p>\n

Fans rushed to comment on the sweet announcement<\/a>, with one writing: \u201cCongratulations, hurry up back to work<\/a> please we all need you fighting for us!\u201d<\/p>\n

Another echoed: \u201cAww congratulations to you both! Lovely name too.\u201d While a third posted: \u201cCongratulations guys, how wonderful. Enjoy your life as new parents.\u201d<\/p>\n
