{"id":122049,"date":"2025-09-08T03:50:07","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T03:50:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/122049\/"},"modified":"2025-09-08T03:50:07","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T03:50:07","slug":"lazi-dais-is-a-work-in-progress","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/122049\/","title":{"rendered":"Lazi Dais is a work in progress"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Lazi Dais is racing in fine form for Baskerville trainer-reinsman Ryan Bell, who drove the gelding to an impressive all-the-way victory in the $100,000 <a href=\"https:\/\/racingwa.com.au\/news\/2025\/09\/08\/mailto:Bookings@Allwoodstud.com.au\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bookings@Allwoodstud.com.au<\/a> Westbred Classic final for three-year-old colts and geldings at Gloucester Park on Friday night.<\/p>\n<p>Even though he beat some WA Derby hopefuls, Bell said that he was anxious to give Lazi Dais plenty of time to mature.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe is still not a hundred per cent; he was boring up the track really bad all the way tonight,\u201d said Bell. \u201cHe has bad stifles, so we are planning to put him away for six months and bring him back next year. He is still a work in progress.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEarly on, I wanted to sack him because I couldn\u2019t get him to pace, and now he is not tractable enough to be a true Derby contender.
