Herrera dropped Welland before the contest was halted by referee Marcus McDonnell. The time was 2:13.<\/p>\n<p>Super bantamweight Frankie Storey (11-1, 2 KOs) stopped Zachary Phee (7-1, 1 KO) after the seventh round with a corner retirement for the vacant BBBofC Southern Area super title.<\/p>\n<p>In the second round\u2019s final thirty seconds, a left counter hurt Phee, who held on to the bell. In the fourth, halfway point, Storey landed a left hook, stopping Phee in his tracks, easily taking the round, also causing a cut on the right side of his eye.<\/p>\n<p>In the fifth Storey, a cut was made on the left eyebrow in a close round. In the seventh, Phee seemed to hold his own in a close round. Suddenly, the Phee corner called a halt between rounds.<\/p>\n<p>Lee Every was the referee.<\/p>\n<p>Junior middleweight southpaw Muzamiru \u2018The Real King Kong\u2019 Kakande (11-1-1, 7 KOs) scored a ninth-round knockout of a game Kevin Reavell (6-5-2, 2 KOs) at 0:54 of the ninth of a scheduled 10 rounds, for the vacant Silver Commonwealth title.<\/p>\n<p>In the second round, Kakande drew blood from the nose of Reavell early, with a left hand dominating. In the third round, Kakande switched to orthodox until the final minute, winning a close round.<\/p>\n<p>In the fifth and sixth rounds, Reavell did enough to win both rounds with blood still coming from his nose; he outlanded Kakande. In the seventh round, Reavell got dropped early by a Kakande right, for an 8-count from Referee Mark Bates.<\/p>\n<p>In the ninth round, after a minute, a combination on the chin from Kakande dropped Reavell for an 8-count from referee Bates, who waved it off as Reavell had the finished look on his face.<\/p>\n<p>Southpaw James \u2018Ozzy\u2019 Osborne (11-1, 2 KOs) knocked out southpaw Alex Branson-Cole (8-2-1) at 2:06 of the first round of a scheduled 10 rounds, for the vacant BBBofC Southern Area super middleweight title.<\/p>\n<p>In the first round, the shorter Osborne landed a jab, followed by a short left on the chin, and down went Branson-Cole, barely beating the count from referee Lee Every, in no shape to continue.<\/p>\n<p>Josh Babb (6-0) defeated Harvey \u2018King of Sting\u2019 Smith (5-1, 1 KO) by an eight-round points decision to win the vacant WBC Youth Silver bantamweight title.<\/p>\n<p>In the first two rounds, Smith, with plenty of fans behind him, outlanded Babb, who was coming in low to the upright opponent. In the third round, Babb turned southpaw at times, getting the better of it in a close round.<\/p>\n<p>In the fifth\u2019s midway point, Babb landed a left hook, drawing blood from the nose of Smith, taking the round. In the sixth, Babb continued to outwork Smith. In the eighth and final round, it turned into a brawl with Babb ahead with swelling under his right eye at the end.<\/p>\n<p>Referee Darren McCann scored it 77-75.<\/p>\n<p>Light welterweight BBBofC English champion Yaser Al Ghena (14-0, 3 KOs) knocked out southpaw Les Urry (2-2-1) at 2:02 of the 6th and final round. Al Ghena was knocked down in the second.<\/p>\n<p>In the second round, Urry landed a left and right on the chin, knocking Al Ghena to the canvas for an 8-count from referee Bernard Oyez. Al Ghena was upset and punished Urry to the body, returning to the ring after nine months. In the third round, Al Ghena was warned not to showboat.
