{"id":122778,"date":"2025-09-08T11:48:08","date_gmt":"2025-09-08T11:48:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/122778\/"},"modified":"2025-09-08T11:48:08","modified_gmt":"2025-09-08T11:48:08","slug":"new-car-finance-market-to-grow-8-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/122778\/","title":{"rendered":"New car finance market to grow 8% in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-173962 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/Finance_620.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"620\" height=\"331\"  \/>The value of new car finance market in the UK is set to grow 8% in 2025 according to the latest data.<\/p>\n<p>The Finance &amp; Leasing Association said consumers were more upbeat about prospects with lower interest rates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cConsumer confidence has shown signs of improving following a further cut in interest rates by the Bank of England.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur latest research suggests that the consumer car finance market will see the value of new business increase by 6% in 2025 as a whole, with growth of 8% in the new car finance market and 4% growth in the used car finance market,\u201d said Geraldine Kilkelly, director of research and chief economist at the FLA.<\/p>\n<p>Kilkelly\u2019s comments came as the FLA released figures for July which showed that consumer car finance new business volumes grew in July 2025 by 1% compared with the same month in 2024.<\/p>\n<p>The corresponding value of new business grew by 4% over the same period.
