Round 25 of Super League<\/a> has seen a number of key players pick up injury concerns as we approach the business end of the season.<\/p>\n Recent weeks have seen a growing number of season-ending injuries, something which is understandable as the season winds to a close and unfortunately, this week could have more.<\/p>\n The on-field action was intense with clubs vying for position in the play-offs or playing for pride as the fixtures were the reverse of Rivals Round, meaning some of the sport\u2019s biggest derbies were played.<\/p>\n St Helens and Wigan went head to head on Friday night with Matt Peet\u2019s side winning 18-4<\/a>, the same scoreline by which Hull KR beat an injury-ravaged Hull FC<\/a> to move closer to being crowned as Super League Leaders Shield winners.<\/p>\n Castleford dealt Wakefield\u2019s play-off hopes a blow as they won 26-22 at Wheldon Road whilst Warrington\u2019s slim play-off hopes ended with a 34-12 defeat to Leigh Leopards.<\/p>\n Thursday\u2019s games saw Salford lose 17-16 to Catalans whilst Leeds beat Huddersfield 26-0, however, it was the Rhinos who picked up one of the most worrying injury concerns from Round 25 of Super League.<\/p>\n Super League injury concerns from round 25<\/p>\n Man of Steel frontrunner Jake Connor left the field in that win over his former club Huddersfield with the Leeds man suffering a rib injury with Brad Arthur confirming the playmaker would have a scan<\/a>.<\/p>\n He also explained that Connor wanted to continue but added: \u201cHe might be a week or he might be all right,\u201d leaving Leeds anxiously waiting a positive update.<\/p>\n Huddersfield\u2019s Jack Billington failed a HIA in that game and he was one of four players to do so this week with the most shocking being Salford loanee Emmanuel Waine with the prop forward being immediately rendered unconscious as tackler Franck Maria was sent off.<\/p>\n A positive update has since been shared with Waine out of hospital<\/a> albeit with a broken jaw so he will obviously be stood down for next week and almost certainly miss Round 27, with Loghan Lewis another of Salford\u2019s players to fail a HIA.<\/p>\n Leigh Leopards were dealt a major blow as Tesi Niu failed his HIA meaning he\u2019ll miss this week\u2019s crunch game against St Helens, where a win would confirm a top four spot for the Leopards.<\/p>\n Niu left the field in the win over Warrington and he wasn\u2019t the only injury blow as Wire\u2019s Leon Hayes<\/a> suffered a suspected broken arm just ten minutes into what was his second Super League appearance since April 2024, a cruel blow.<\/p>\n Castleford\u2019s Jeremiah Simbiken left the field with a suspected fracture in his arm<\/a> whilst Cain Robb was also sent for an x-ray following the win over Wakefield.<\/p>\n Trinity\u2019s winger Lachlan Walmsley suffered a leg injury in that game as well whilst Hull KR winger Joe Burgess missed out against Hull FC due to a calf strain.<\/p>\n Round 25 \u2705#SuperLeague<\/a> pic.twitter.com\/bETiDHnBnu<\/a><\/p>\n \u2014 Betfred Super League (@SuperLeague) September 7, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t![](\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/1757322609_374_srl-logo.png\"\/){kind=logo}
