The only outlier is Madison Keys, who won the Australian Open<\/a> in January at 29 years of age.<\/p>\n However, one iconic coach has pinpointed another young talent, tipping them for big things in the latter half of 2025.<\/p>\n Rick Macci says Mirra Andreeva could be top two by the end of 2025<\/p>\n If there is one thing that Rick Macci is good at, it\u2019s identifying burgeoning young talent on the WTA Tour.<\/p>\n After all, Macci is credited with helping Serena<\/a> and Venus Williams in the early stages of their tennis journeys in Compton, California.<\/p>\n Aged just 18 years old, Mirra Andreeva<\/a> has emerged as one of the premier WTA talents over the last two years, following her break-out fourth-round appearance as a 16-year-old at Wimbledon 2023.<\/p>\n Since then, the Russian starlet has gone from strength to strength, capturing her first WTA 1000 title in Indian Wells this year, while also reaching the Wimbledon quarter-finals.<\/p>\n Macci has recognised her progress, and took to X [Twitter] to make a prediction about her year-end ranking.<\/p>\n Mirra and her movement is at least 25% more instinctive on hard courts. In doing so, she became the youngest WTA player to break into the top five since Maria Sharapova.<\/p>\n However, to break into the top two, she will likely have to usurp two of Aryna Sabalenka<\/a>, Iga Swiatek or Coco Gauff.<\/p>\n Doing so will be no easy feat, with each player having won the US Open<\/a> in their careers.
