However, on Saturdays\u00a0it can run only between\u00a09am and 5pm, and on Sundays and Bank Holidays between 10.30am and 4:30pm.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  This, states the council report, is to ensure neighbours are: &#8220;Not adversely affected by the development proposed through unacceptable levels of noise and disturbance.&#8221;\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Since the plans were lodged by the tennis club, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eveningnews24.co.uk\/news\/25375360.norwich-tennis-club-bid-padel-court-raises-fears\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">it has caused quite the\u00a0ruckus among neighbours living near the facility<\/a>.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Many people living on\u00a0Plantsman Close, which is only metres away from where the padel court is set to be built, said they had received a letter from someone who claimed the sound of\u00a0padel being played was akin to hearing a &#8220;gunshot&#8221;.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Erin Riches, 45, who also received the letter,\u00a0said: &#8220;I&#8217;m just worried that the padel would be louder than the tennis.&#8221;\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  <img   alt=\"Erin was concerned the sport would be louder than tennis\" style=\"width: 100%;\"\/>Erin was concerned the sport would be louder than tennis (Image: Newsquest) Some people, however,\u00a0are not as worried about the potential racket.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Ann West, 87, whose home overlooks the back of the tennis club, said: &#8220;I&#8217;m very happy with them.
