Former Hull FC, Hull KR and Leigh Leopards man Ben Reynolds has been handed a big ban after speaking out against a referee.<\/p>\n
Reynolds, a Challenge Cup winner with Leigh Leopards, plays for Featherstone Rovers now after making the switch from Hull KR last season.<\/p>\n
He also spent time on loan with the Black and Whites in 2024 but has played a starring role in helping Featherstone Rovers make the play-offs, scoring six tries in 22 games this season and kicking 92 goals.<\/p>\n
However, he\u2019s now set to miss the final game of the season and the play-offs after being handed a four-match ban.<\/p>\n
Reynolds was handed a Grade E charge for foul and abusive language<\/a> towards the referee and tonight\u2019s verdict means his season is now over.<\/p>\n Former Hull FC loanee and Challenge Cup winner lands big ban<\/p>\n It was confirmed by the RFL that Reynolds plead guilty to the charge of foul and abusive language towards a match official. He was handed 24 penalty points for the offence.<\/p>\n Reynolds wasn\u2019t the only man with a Hull FC connection to cop a ban tonight as the Black and Whites\u2019 forward Jack Ashworth was handed a huge seven-match ban<\/a> after pleading guilty to his \u2018Striking\u2019 charge.<\/p>\n Ashworth has launched a swinging elbow at Mikey Lewis in Sunday\u2019s Hull derby, an incident that was missed by the referee.<\/p>\n Other cases heard tonight saw Franck Maria plead guilty and land a five-match ban<\/a>, whilst Salford Red Devils appealed Loghan Lewis\u2019 three-match ban was downgraded<\/a> to just one after the club successfully downgraded the charge from D to B.<\/p>\n York Valkyrie star Sinead Peach was expected to face her charge of questioning the integrity of a match official, having suggested the referee was \u2018sh***ing\u2019 one of her St Helens\u2019 opponents, however, that case was adjourned.<\/p>\n
