The audio from Thomas Skinner’s interview at Elstree Studios has been released, revealing a tense moment when he objected to a reporter recording their conversation ahead of his Strictly Come Dancing<\/a> appearance.<\/p>\n The Apprentice star was participating in interviews about the series when he unexpectedly grabbed a reporter’s phone<\/a>, causing a stir, reports the Mirror<\/a>.<\/p>\n The controversial figure took umbrage with a reporter recording the interview, a standard procedure, during the major Strictly Come Dancing <\/a>press day. He had arrived at the table with fellow contestant, ex-footballer Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, who ended up having to conduct interviews alone.<\/p>\n In the recording that was shared online, a reporter asked: “What made you say yes to this amazing opportunity<\/a>?”<\/p>\n He responded with: “What’s that? Are you taping it?” as heard in the audio clip<\/a> shared with The Sun. The reporter replied: “We have to record it,” before she was heard asking: “What are you doing?”<\/p>\n Another voice chimed in: “Just answer the question, we’ve got three minutes,” before the reporter said: “No, no, no, don’t.”<\/p>\n Thomas retorted: “That’s about me,” to which the reporter responded: “No, it’s not.”<\/p>\n When someone asked ‘what made them run the question’, the reporter clarified they were ‘just recording it’.<\/p>\n After a few moments of unclear audio, another person exclaimed: “Oh my God, he’s gone.”<\/p>\n Discussing the incident that took place<\/a>, an insider previously told the Mirror: “He walked to the table with his head down, he sat down, grabbed one of the reporters phones, who told him to stop. It was a shock. His reaction came out of nowhere.”<\/p>\n Another source told us: “It was totally out of the blue. He was absolutely fine during the first interview. In good spirits and delighted and surprised to be there. Like a competition winner<\/a>.”<\/p>\n His behaviour is said to have left organisers livid and BBC chiefs in discussions over whether he should continue on the programme.<\/p>\n Thomas has been a divisive choice for this year’s series of the BBC show.
