{"id":127707,"date":"2025-09-10T14:05:33","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T14:05:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/127707\/"},"modified":"2025-09-10T14:05:33","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T14:05:33","slug":"celtic-loanee-maik-nawrockis-nightmare-start-at-hannover-96-sees-some-light","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/127707\/","title":{"rendered":"Celtic loanee Maik Nawrocki&#8217;s nightmare start at Hannover 96 sees some light"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Maik Nawrocki was part of a handful of players who were loaned out by Celtic this summer. <\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t a surprise given <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/transfers\/the-best-defender-we-had-brendan-rodgers-and-celtic-criticised-for-letting-player-leave\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nawrocki\u2019s lack of chances under Brendan Rodgers<\/a>, as he joined German second-tier side Hannover 96 on a season-long loan deal. <\/p>\n<p>The one thing the 24-year-old would have been hoping for is to be able to see the pitch on a regular basis because he has been sitting on the bench for far too long. <\/p>\n<p>But life in Hannover hasn\u2019t started the way the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/club\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Celtic<\/a> loanee would have liked, until <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/news\/all-8-celtic-stars-on-september-international-duty-and-how-to-watch-games-live\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">the September international break<\/a> provided him with some light. <\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"725\" loading=\"lazy\"  src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/GettyImages-2177651605-1-1024x725.jpg\" alt=\"Maik Nawrocki in action for Celtic during a Mid-Season Friendly\" class=\"wp-image-264869\" \/>Photo By Piaras \u00d3 M\u00eddheach\/Sportsfile via Getty ImagesMaik Nawrocki features in Hannover 96 friendly during the international break<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/tag\/maik-nawrocki\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nawrocki<\/a> is yet to make his official Hannover 96 debut, even though the season has well and truly started, but it\u2019s because of injury. <\/p>\n<p>It would have been a sense of D\u00e9j\u00e0 vu for the centre-back because he would have gone from hardly playing for Celtic to then doing the same with his new side. <\/p>\n<p>But, during the international break, Hannover 96 played a friendly encounter against newly-promoted Hamburger SV, winning 3-1, and Nawrocki earned himself some valuable minutes.<\/p>\n<p>The Polish defender played 45 minutes before being subbed off at half-time, and now he will be hoping it\u2019s the start of a chapter that allows him to earn a regular run of games because he needs it. <\/p>\n<p>Nawrocki\u2019s minutes and starts for Celtic<\/p>\n<p>There will be some who feel that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/transfers\/insane-celtic-fans-react-to-the-clubs-latest-call-in-the-2025-summer-transfer-window\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Nawrocki should have stayed at Celtic<\/a>, especially given the noise around Liam Scales and Auston Trusty.<\/p>\n<p>But <a href=\"https:\/\/www.67hailhail.com\/news\/im-not-being-funny-peter-grant-tells-liam-scales-why-he-will-play-more-for-celtic-in-the-champions-league\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Scales has made an outstanding start to the season<\/a>, whilst Trusty has been injured, and loanee Jahmai Simpson-Pusey hasn\u2019t been selected for the Europa League squad, which is rather odd, and you have to question why on earth he was signed in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>Simpson-Pusey, albeit on loan from Manchester City, will be hoping he isn\u2019t treated like Nawrocki, where he hardly plays and, at times, doesn\u2019t even feature in matchday squads. <\/p>\n<p>Nawrocki\u2019s games for Celtic: 18Starts: 12Minutes: 1,081  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Maik Nawrocki was part of a handful of players who were loaned out by Celtic this summer.
