{"id":128285,"date":"2025-09-10T19:35:09","date_gmt":"2025-09-10T19:35:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/128285\/"},"modified":"2025-09-10T19:35:09","modified_gmt":"2025-09-10T19:35:09","slug":"here-are-the-companies-picked-to-deliver-arkansas-308m-broadband-expansion","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/128285\/","title":{"rendered":"Here Are the Companies Picked to Deliver Arkansas&#8217; $308M Broadband Expansion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<img width=\"920\" height=\"615\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/glen-howie-state-broadband-director-677-920x615.jpg\" class=\"attachment-920x615 size-920x615\" alt=\"\" decoding=\"async\" fetchpriority=\"high\"  \/>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tGlen Howie, the state&#8217;s broadband director (Phillip Davis)\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/p>\n<p>The Arkansas State Broadband Office has submitted its final proposal for the federal Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) Program after closing the seven-day public comment window Aug. 29.<\/p>\n<p>The state preliminarily selected 23 providers to cover 79,240 location across the state, which the <a href=\"https:\/\/broadband.arkansas.gov\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/20250827-Arkansas-BEAD-Final-Proposal.pdf\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">final proposal draft<\/a> states achieves \u201ccoverage for every single location in the state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Arkansas\u2019 total BEAD Grant Outlay stands at $308.3 million, $275 million lower than the prior version of the program, which was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.arkansasbusiness.com\/article\/arkansas-broadband-grants-revised-bead-policy\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">overhauled in June<\/a> by the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA).
