National Television Awards viewers were left asking \u2018what\u2019s going on\u2019 as an American star was spotted in the audience.<\/p>\n

The night got off to a busy start, with comedian Joel Dommett <\/a>bringing all the action from London\u2019s O2 on Wednesday night (September 10).<\/p>\n

Following a performance from McFly<\/a>, the first award of the night saw the Bruce Forsyth entertainment award go to Michael McIntyre\u2019s Big Show.<\/p>\n

Collecting his award, Michael said: \u201cI\u2019ve sat in the front row many, many times with my feet on the bottom stair and never won this prize. This is an excellent turn of events.<\/p>\n

Following this, Sir Trevor McDonald<\/a> and Dermot O\u2019Leary revealed that Call The Midwife has been named best returning drama, beating the likes of Vera and Netflix\u2019s Heartstopper.<\/p>\n

Moments later, Jeremy Clarkson said he was \u2018genuinely thrilled\u2019 as Clarkson\u2019s Farm won best factual entertainment show.<\/p>\n

Presenting the award for reality competition was Rob Rinder and Liz Hurley, who currently front The Inheritance on Channel 4.<\/p>\n

The Inheritance <\/a>sees 13 strangers summoned to a stately home to compete for part of the fortune left in the will of Liz\u2019s character, \u2018the Deceased\u2019.<\/p>\n

Sadly for those taking part, the Deceased won\u2019t make things easy for them and is determined to make sure only the best players can get their hands on her inheritance.<\/p>\n

Much has been made about the broadcaster securing Liz for the series, with the actress appearing in hit films such as Austin Powers.<\/p>\n

Away from the limelight, Liz gave birth to her and American businessman Steve Bing\u2019s son Damian Charles Hurley in 2002<\/p>\n

Liz has also been married to Indian businessman Arun Nayar and was engaged to the late Australian cricketer Shane Warne<\/p>\n

The 60-year-old is currently in a relationship with American musician Billy Ray Cyrus, who is the father of Miley Cyrus and acted alongside her in Hannah Montana.<\/p>\n

Despite Billy being known primarily in the United States, the Old Town Road singer was spotted in the audience watching the night’s talking points unfold as they happened.<\/p>\n

Those watching at home rushed to X, previously known as Twitter<\/a>, after noticing Billy Ray sitting with the likes of Gary Lineker and Jack P Shepherd at the NTAs.<\/p>\n
