Aurva<\/a>, a platform focussed on access monitoring and artificial intelligence (AI) observability, has raised $2.2 million in a funding round led by early-stage venture capital firm Nexus Venture Partners<\/a>. <\/p>\n

The round also saw participation from DeVC (backed by Z47), and angel investors including former Meta<\/a> executives Chris Bream, Rahul Sood, and Karandeep Anand, Postman founders Ankit Sobti and Abhinav Asthana, and Cyware founders Akshat Jain and Anuj Goel.<\/p>\n

The company plans to use the funds to expand its sales and marketing efforts and its security team, advance its AI observability<\/a> capabilities, and support demand from enterprise customers in India, the US, and other global markets.<\/p>\n

\u201cExisting tools were built for static environments. But AI is dynamic, it\u2019s everywhere, and it just runs,\u201d said founder and chief executive Apurv Garg.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere are now countless ways data gets accessed, often without visibility. Enterprises need to rethink how they monitor sensitive data usage in real time across humans, services, and AI agents<\/a>,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Aurva, which was recently launched, was founded by former Meta engineers Garg, Krishna Bagadia, and Akash Mandal.<\/p>\n

The firm links each data access to a verified identity, whether human, service, or AI agent, allowing enterprises to identify and prevent misuse in real time. This, according to the startup, enhances security and helps maintain compliance.<\/p>\n

The company caters to enterprise clients in sectors such as fintech, SaaS, and banking, with its customer base including Razorpay, Slice Bank, Yubi, Paytm<\/a>, and Meesho.<\/p>\n

According to the firm, it has monitored over four billion transactions daily at a financial institution and analysing more than one billion queries each day for a digital bank and payments provider.<\/p>\n

The platform brings together database activity monitoring (DAM), AI observability, and data security posture management (DSPM), helping enterprises safeguard sensitive data while ensuring compliance with regulations from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi), and the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI).<\/p>\n
