Fast bowler Nathan Gilchrist is out to finish the season on a high as he prepares to leave Kent.<\/p>\n
It was confirmed Zimbabwe-born Gilchrist, 25, will join County Championship Division 1 Warwickshire on a three-year deal at the conclusion of the 2025 campaign on Monday.<\/p>\n

The right-armer joined in 2020, initially on loan, and has made 90 appearances across all formats in his five seasons at the county.<\/a><\/p>\n Gilchrist said: \u201cThis was an extremely tough decision for me to make but this is the best move for me – and for my career – at this point in time.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d like to thank everyone at Kent for believing in me from day one when I arrived here as a 20-year-old, looking to prove myself back in 2020.<\/p>\n \u201cI hope that I have done just that and I\u2019m extremely proud to have been a Kent cricketer.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve made some lifelong friendships during my time at the club and, under (head coach) Adam Hollioake, I can definitely see a bright future for Kent.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019d also like to give a big thank you to the Kent members and supporters for all the support that they have given me during my time here.<\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s not quite goodbye just yet and I\u2019m fully focussed on ending this season on a high note.<\/p>\n \u201cHopefully, we can make some more great memories together to go with all of the others that we\u2019ve made over the past five years.\u201d<\/p>\n The switch could see Gilchrist reunite with ex-Kent head coach Matt Walker, who became Warwickshire\u2019s batting coach on an initial one-year contract in February after eight years at the helm.<\/a><\/p>\nKent team-mates Nathan Gilchrist and Tawanda Muyeye after they won the 2022 Royal London One-Day Cup at Trent Bridge.
