{"id":13187,"date":"2025-07-21T15:02:30","date_gmt":"2025-07-21T15:02:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/13187\/"},"modified":"2025-07-21T15:02:30","modified_gmt":"2025-07-21T15:02:30","slug":"new-mental-health-service-launches-in-sheffield","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/uk\/13187\/","title":{"rendered":"New mental health service launches in Sheffield"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The new service forms part of the first phase of a two-year, nation-wide pilot scheme.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The second phase, scheduled for later this year, will expand services at the clinic, including the development of walk-in access and crisis support.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">A third phase will introduce hospitality beds as an alternative to inpatient admissions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">It is hoped the clinic will improve the referral process, reduce waiting times, and enhance the quality of treatment for those who require continuous care.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">About 400 residents were consulted whilst developing the centre, including mental health service users, carers, healthcare staff, and members of community organisations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Public meetings, workshops, and community group sessions were also held, which the Trust said would &#8220;make sure that lived experience and local insight shape every aspect of the new service&#8221;.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The new service forms part of the first phase of a two-year, nation-wide pilot scheme.
