Emmerdale<\/a> spoilers follow for Friday\u2019s episode (12 September), which is available to watch now on streaming service ITVX and YouTube, and hasn\u2019t yet aired on TV.<\/p>\n

Emmerdale has revealed which character could turn out to be an unexpected ally for Robert Sugden.<\/p>\n

Things aren\u2019t looking too good for Robert, who is currently in prison charged with the attempted murder of Aaron and John<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Viewers know that evil John purposely jumped off the gorge<\/a> with his arms around Aaron, but he has managed to convince everyone that Robert came charging at them both in a fit of rage.<\/p>\n

With no change in Aaron\u2019s condition in today\u2019s episode<\/a>, Moira continued to worry about her brother Mack, sure he wouldn\u2019t ignore the news about his best friend.<\/p>\n

Victoria has firmly taken John\u2019s side<\/a>, but she still faced flack from the Dingles in the aftermath of this week\u2019s events.<\/p>\n

Moira and Cain told her that they were cutting her out of the farm<\/a> and would give her back her investment, making it clear that their two families can\u2019t work together anymore.<\/p>\n

Later, Charity called round to see Victoria to ask about Mack\u2019s disappearance \u2013 but Victoria broke down in tears, explaining that she\u2019s being punished for her brother\u2019s actions.<\/p>\n

During their emotional chat, Robert phoned his sister from prison, but Victoria promptly hung up and refused to speak to him.<\/p>\n

Robert changed tactics and rang the farm, and when Matty picked up, he urged him to help and get a message to Victoria on his behalf.<\/p>\n

Matty paid Victoria a visit, and he promised to talk to Cain and Moira about kicking her out of the business.<\/p>\n

He passed on the message from Robert, asking Victoria to visit him in prison. Victoria rejected this request, so Matty questioned whether Robert did actually try to kill his brother.<\/p>\n

“I thought he had,” he said, “but hearing how desperate he sounded, I\u2019m not so sure now. What if he\u2019s telling the truth, Vic? If you don\u2019t hear what he\u2019s got to say to you, how will you ever really know?”<\/p>\n

Will Victoria listen to Matty and go to see Robert?<\/p>\n
