An East Belfast restaurant has thanked its staff and customers as it prepares to say goodbye and close its doors later this month after a decade in business.<\/p>\n
Oliver’s Restaurant on Upper Newtownards<\/a> Road in Ballyhackamore has announced that Sunday, September 21, will be its last service as it thanks the local community,<\/a> and those further afield, for their support over the years, saying that now is the “perfect time to bow out”.<\/p>\n It has said that it will offer customers a complimentary drink from now until closing as a way of celebrating the restaurant’s journey over the past ten years.<\/p>\n READ MORE: Belfast restaurant announces return to city with limited pop-up at distillery<\/a>READ MORE: Top Belfast restaurant owner Michael Deane issues statement after delivery driver comments<\/a><\/p>\n In a social media post, <\/a>Oliver’s Restaurant said, “It\u2019s time to say goodbye from all of us at Oliver’s Restaurant.<\/p>\n “Sunday 21st Sept will be our last service.<\/p>\n “We opened Oliver\u2019s restaurant with HC Thomas Wightman and GM Ben Chin Fai Tsang. They set a very high standard, providing great service, ambience and food in this beautiful space.<\/p>\n “We have had some incredible staff over the years, including Daniel Stojcic, now one of the UK’s top wine Sommeliers.<\/p>\n “Thomas has stood out -he was our Roy Keane- he has been instrumental in Oliver\u2019s success, always there to guide us; so it is only fitting that he’s back in the kitchen to help us close down. He will be in there working the pass with his menu on Friday 20th.<\/p>\n “We are so proud of our neighbourhood restaurant, consistently sitting in the top 20 restaurants on trip advisor and consistent 5* reviews.<\/p>\n “We feel now is the perfect time to bow out and let someone else guide this beautiful space for the next decade.<\/p>\n “Our last service will be on Sunday, September 21st.
