After a monster ride on the opening stage of Turul Romaniei (2.2) in Romania \u2013 where he held all the jerseys bar one \u2013 Seth Dunwoody has today overcome two crashes to claim a stage victory on the third day of action.<\/p>\n

The 19-year-old, riding for Bahrain Victorious Development, stormed in just ahead of the pack after four hours of racing to claim a fantastic win in what were wet and difficult conditions.<\/p>\n

Though Armagh\u2019s Dunwoody has gained a reputation as a bunch sprinter who can also put out a big TT effort, he has also shown signs of a budding classics man, unfraid to go on the attack.<\/p>\n

And he demonstrated that aggression from start to finish of today\u2019s 180km stage 3 into Buz\u0103u, dropping two riders who were with him on the final climbs.<\/p>\n

In the end, he was one of three attackers who managed to hold off the bunch. And in the final push for the line, those he was with simply had no reply when the Irishman reached for the afterburners.<\/p>\n

He sailed over the line in his mountains classification leader\u2019s jersey, celebrating his win with both hands in the air, one second clear of runner-up Matthew Dodd (Tirol KTM Cycling Team), from Britain. Cristian Raileanu (Li Ning Star), from Moldova, was 3rd at three seconds.<\/p>\n

The sprint from the chasing group, for 4th place on the day, was won by Spain\u2019s Sebasti\u00e1n Mora (Illes Balears Arabay) at five seconds.<\/p>\n
