Oliver\u2019s, situated on the Upper Newtownards Road in Belfast, has been operating as a modern European restaurant for the past 10 years. <\/p>\n

Taking to social media, those behind the business said it\u2019s \u201ctime to say goodbye from all of us\u201d.<\/p>\n

Next Sunday, September 21, will be their last service.<\/p>\n

A statement reads: \u201cWe opened Oliver\u2019s restaurant with HC Thomas Wightman and GM Ben Chin Fai Tsang. They set a very high standard, providing great service, ambience and food in this beautiful space.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have had some incredible staff over the years, including Daniel Stojcic, now one of the UK’s top wine Sommeliers.<\/p>\n

\u201cThomas has stood out \u2013 he was our Roy Keane \u2013 he has been instrumental in Oliver\u2019s success. He brought two incredible chefs back with him in \u201823, Ionu\u021b Ivan and Alex Perry, they were the most honest hard working guys we\u2019ve had the pleasure of knowing.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s only fitting that Thomas is back in the kitchen to help us close down. He will be working the pass with his menu on Friday 20th.\u201d<\/p>\n

The owners said they are \u201cso proud\u201d of their neighbourhood restaurant, \u201cconsistently sitting in the top 20 restaurants on Trip Advisor, with 5 star reviews.\u201d<\/p>\n

They feel now is the \u201cperfect time to bow out and let someone else guide this beautiful space for the next decade.\u201d<\/p>\n

They encouraged diners to use any gift vouchers and said there will be a complimentary drink for everyone between now and closing \u201cto celebrate our journey together.\u201d<\/p>\n

The statement concluded: \u201cWe were a neighbour restaurant and we were so pleased to be so well supported by the local neighbourhood and from further afield.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you so much for all your support over the last 10 years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Customers commented to express their surprise and sadness at the announcement.<\/p>\n

One man said: \u201cAmazing spot for Sunday dinners, I\u2019ll have to call in before use close.\u201d<\/p>\n

A woman commented: \u201cI’m gutted to hear this. Loved our Wednesday evenings there…excellent food and lovely staff.\u201d<\/p>\n
