Today, Apple CEO Tim Cook visited Corning\u2019s factory in Harrodsburg, KY, where he spoke with CNBC\u2019s Jim Cramer about the company\u2019s recent product announcements, as well as Apple\u2019s investment in the glass maker. Watch the videos below.<\/p>\n
\u2018It\u2019s like holding the future in your hand\u2019<\/p>\n
Cramer and Cook\u2019s visit to Corning\u2019s factory rendered two videos: one in which Cook promoted the iPhone 17 Pro and the iPhone Air<\/a>, as well as the AirPods\u2019 new live translation feature, and a second one in which they were accompanied by Corning CEO Wendell Weeks.<\/p>\n During the first exchange, after highlighting the Cosmic Orange iPhone 17 Pro\u2019s \u201ckiller color,\u201d Cook showcased the iPhone Air.<\/p>\n Interestingly, he defined the device phone as having \u201cpro performance in that smaller package,\u201d echoing Apple\u2019s angle during a recent WSJ<\/a> interview, in which the company\u2019s executives, Cook included, claimed they wanted consumers to be torn between the two devices.<\/p>\n When Cramer asked about battery life, saying that \u201cmost viewers presume that battery life must be much shorter,\u201d here\u2019s what Cook had to say:<\/p>\n \u201cThe battery life is great. You\u2019re going to love the battery life. (\u2026) We engineered it from the inside out. It\u2019s eSIM-only. And so we were able to take the battery and extend the battery to areas that previously had the physical SIM. And so, it\u2019s incredible innovation.\u201d<\/p>\n Watch the full segment below:<\/p>\n<\/p>\n \u2018A tremendous transference from overseas to America\u2019<\/p>\n In the second segment, Cook and Weeks discussed Apple\u2019s recent investment in Corning, which will transform the Harrodsburg factory into a dedicated glass producer for the iPhone and Apple Watch.<\/p>\n The investment is part of Apple\u2019s \u201cAmerican Manufacturing Program,\u201d which will dedicate $600 billion over the next four years to domestic manufacturing initiatives and infrastructure.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n What\u2019s you take on the interviews?
