Warwick Farm trainer John Steinmetz is chasing a Bathurst Cup victory with consistent performer Dr Evil on Sunday as the galloper aims to go back-to-back after a last-start win on the Kensington track at Randwick.<\/p>\n

Steinmetz has given the son of Casino Prince 75 starts for nine wins, 22 minor placings and more than $585,000 in prizemoney. The gelding lines up in The Kings Hotel *Big Dance Eligibility* Bathurst Cup (1800m).<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a Big Dance eligibility race and it would be great to get into that race,\u201d Steinmetz said. \u201cBut that\u2019s not what we are chasing. It just looks to be a nice race for him.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe 1800m looks like it will suit, and I could have taken him to Canterbury midweek, but he doesn\u2019t race his best there despite having performed well there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Steinmetz has booked Kody Nestor to ride Dr Evil in the Bathurst Cup.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt looks a nice race for him,\u201d Steinmetz said. \u201cIt\u2019s a race that has fallen way a little with some other decent races being on over the last few days.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a horse that is racing in good form and if he can maintain that then he should be very hard to hold out.\u201d<\/p>\n

Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott have The Years contesting the $50,000 Bathurst Cup, while Nacim Dilmi has last-start Gosford winner Aix En Provence in the event. Adam Hyeronimus and Andrew Adkins take the respective rides.<\/p>\n
