Do not touch or attempt to move the animal, whether it appears alive or dead.<\/p>\n<p>  Call for help immediately by phoning the Receiver of Wreck on 0203 817 2575 (HM Coastguard).<\/p>\n<p>  If the animal is alive and stranded, contact HM Coastguard for advice.<\/p>\n<p>\n  Read more:\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  Exact location, condition of the animal, type or appearance of the animal and photos taken from the distance are useful in reports to the coastguard.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  A spokesperson said: &#8220;Stranded marine mammals may be in distress, and handling them incorrectly could cause harm \u2014 both to them and to you.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Deceased animals are important for marine research.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Correct reporting ensures the right authorities handle removal and disposal in line with health and environmental regulations.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n  &#8220;Stay safe.
