\n\tAnne Hathaway<\/a> is officially back as Andy Sachs in a first-look photo the Oscar winner and 20th Century Studios posted to social media amid filming \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada 2<\/a>,\u201d the long-awaited sequel to the beloved 2006 comedy-drama. Hathaway is returning alongside original co-stars Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci, plus director David Frankel and screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAndy Sachs 2025,\u201d Hathaway captioned the first-look photo of her character. In the original, Hathaway\u2019s Andy was an aspiring journalist who becomes the personal assistant to Miranda Priestly (Streep), the ruthless editor-in-chief of a fashion magazine named Runway. Plot details for \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada 2\u201d remain under wraps, so it\u2019s currently unknown what exactly Andy is up to all these years later. The character quit Runway and joined a major New York City newspaper at the end of the original film.<\/p>\n

\n\tNew cast members for \u201cThe Devil Wears Prada 2\u201d include Kenneth Branagh, who is set to play Miranda Priestly\u2019s husband, as well as Lucy Liu, Justin Theroux, B.J. Novak and Pauline Chalamet in undisclosed roles. Broadway stars Helen J. Shen (\u201cMaybe Happy Ending\u201d) and Conrad Ricamora (\u201cOh, Mary!\u201d), plus comedian Caleb Hearon, will also appear in the movie. Tracie Thoms, who played Andy\u2019s best friend Lily, and Tibor Feldman, who portrayed the chairman of Runway\u2019s parent company, will reprise their roles in the sequel.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs previously reported by Variety<\/a>: \u201cThough plot details haven\u2019t been confirmed, the story reportedly follows Runway\u2019s terrifying editor-in-chief Miranda Priestly (Streep) as she navigates her career amid the decline of traditional magazine publishing. She faces off against Blunt\u2019s character, her one-time assistant who is now a high-powered executive for a luxury group, with advertising dollars that Priestly desperately needs.\u201d<\/p>\n
