As Adam Brody<\/a> continues his Nobody Wants This<\/a> award season run, his other half<\/a> (and one side of teen drama royalty) made a surprise appearance at his side. Leighton Meester surprised fans as she joined The O.C. alum<\/a> at the 2025 Emmy Awards on Sunday, September 14, marking her first Emmys outing in 16 years.<\/p>\n

Despite her lengthy hiatus away from the Emmys red carpet<\/a>, Meester was anything but rusty as she coordinated with Brody in shades of pastel. The actress\u2019s ombr\u00e9 dress featured a chic, crewneck blush pink bodice with bold side cutouts that snaked around her back, leaving most of her lower midriff exposed. Meester\u2019s dual-toned skirt\u2014a matching blush pink style with a subtle baby blue layer\u2014flared out in a princess-like style with a subtle train trailing behind her. She styled her bright red hair in a Blair Waldorf-approved blowout with subtle curls at the bottom and side-swept frontal bangs. Icy blue eyeshadow, black eyeliner, and a matte peachy-pink lipstick finished off Meester\u2019s latest Emmys look.<\/p>\n

The star last attended the Emmy Awards during her Gossip Girl heyday in 2009, turning heads in a plunging Bottega Veneta gown with knotted shoulders, gold cuff jewelry, and a bold smoky eye paired with bright red lips\u2014a complete 180 from her minimalist glam at the 2025 award show.<\/p>\n

Meester posed both solo and with Brody, who matched with his wife in a baby blue tuxedo. He paired the bold suit iteration with a white dress shirt adorned with a statement ruffle running down the middle, a black bow tie, and black dress shoes. Brody is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series alongside co-star Kristen Bell, who was nominated for the Lead Actress category. The Netflix rom-com also got recognized with an Outstanding Comedy Series nomination nod.<\/p>\n
